Summary
This talk was given as I handover as President of this Association. In this talk I reflect upon the contemporary political context, both externally and within our institutions, in which we practice forensic psychotherapy. I draw, necessarily, mostly, from my experience of clinical practice and academic life in Britain: Colleagues from other countries and jurisdictions will compare and contrast with their own possibly very different, but probably very similar overall experience. Finally I reflect upon the internal state of this Association  and its clinical and theoretical heart.
