The Indication of Dental Sanitation of Patients before OrganicTransplantation
S. Lütchens, G. Wahl

In this study the documents of 62 patients were retrospectively valued, who were sent in preparation of a transplantation to the Department of Oral Surgery of the University of Bonn for an evaluation of their present dental and intraoral status. Numbers of detailed clinical and X-Ray findings and advices for therapy were collected. The results show the indication of a dental therapy before transplantation given in all cases. The dental therapies depend from the individual patient’s situation and capacity of stress handling. Especially the intraoral surgical sanitation should be finished before transplantation.
